Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Universal Fitness App collects, uses, and protects information through its website, waitlist flow, and related services.

Last updated: June 12, 2026

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to visitors of the Universal Fitness App website, people who join the waitlist, and users of related app or support services operated under the Universal Fitness App name.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with the service, we may collect:

  • Account and profile data — your email address, and profile information you enter such as age, height, weight, and fitness goal.
  • Health and fitness data — workouts, nutrition logs, daily check-ins (sleep, soreness, body weight, energy), and recovery data you log in the app.
  • Wearable sync data — activity data from Apple Health or Fitbit, only when you choose to sync. Apple Health is not read continuously in the background.
  • Usage and diagnostics data — screens visited, features used, crash reports, device type, OS version, and app version.
  • Technical information — browser type, device type, IP address, and access logs generated by normal use of the site or app.
  • Communications — messages you send us, including support requests.

3. How we use information

We may use information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website and app.
  • Respond to questions, support requests, or waitlist inquiries.
  • Send launch updates, product announcements, or service-related notices.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and prevent misuse.
  • Personalize guidance and product experience for app users.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. Waitlist and website behavior

The current waitlist flow on the landing page opens a pre-filled email in your email app. That means your email address is handled by your email provider when you choose to send the message. We may also receive your email if you send that waitlist request to us.

The static site may also generate routine server or hosting logs through providers such as Render or similar infrastructure. Those logs may contain technical request information.

5. Health and fitness data

Health and fitness data you log in the app is stored in Supabase, a cloud database hosted on AWS infrastructure, and is tied to your account only. Apple Health data is pulled only when you initiate a sync — the app does not read it continuously in the background. Fitbit data is fetched via Fitbit's API using your authorization and stored in your account only.

We do not sell personal health or fitness information and we do not share it with advertisers. We only use it to run the service, improve the product, support users, and meet legal obligations.

6. Advertising

The app is free and supported by banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device advertising identifier (IDFA) for ad serving. AdMob may also infer your approximate location from your IP address for ad relevance — the app itself never requests location permission from your device. Your health and fitness data is never passed to AdMob or any ad network.

Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can limit ad tracking through your device's privacy settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

7. Sharing of information

We share information only in limited circumstances:

  • Supabase — cloud database provider that stores your account and health data.
  • Google AdMob — advertising provider (device identifier, inferred coarse location via IP). Health data is not shared.
  • Sentry — crash reporting and diagnostics (error logs, device info, app version). Governed by the Sentry Privacy Policy.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, legal process, or valid government request.
  • User or public protection — to protect rights, safety, or integrity of users or the service.
  • Business transfers — as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, support users, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. We may delete or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably needed.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your information.
  • Object to or limit certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests.

11. Children's privacy

The website and app are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it if appropriate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
